Our adventure commences in Tirana, where we embark on a journey that will transport us to the enchanting city of Gjirokastra, often referred to as "The Stone City" or "The City of a Thousand Steps."

Our first stop upon arriving in Gjirokastra will be the bustling Gjirokastra Bazaar, a vibrant marketplace where local crafts, textiles, and traditional Albanian products beckon visitors.

After exploring the bazaar, we'll ascend the winding road leading to the magnificent Gjirokastra Castle, a true architectural marvel. Within its walls, we'll discover an array of guns, weaponry, fortifications, the castle's museum and the castle's notorious old prison.

Continuing our journey within the castle, we'll make our way to its highest point, where the iconic clock tower is located. From here, we'll be treated to a stunting panoramic view of Gjirokastra.

A last stop is made in the Zekate House, a local fortress house where you can learn how the rich families used to live back in the day.

A mere 30 kilometers from Gjirokaster, a hidden gem awaits us within the heart of the forest. Here, pristine, crystal-clear water emerges from deep within the earth, gushing out from a remarkable 30-meter-deep hole at its center, forming a mesmerizing spectacle akin to a "blue eye." Given its close proximity to Gjirokastra, it would be a true missed opportunity for travelers to bypass this awe-inspiring natural wonder.

Since we will go back along the Albanian Riviera, why not take a detour to visit Lekursi Castle? Perched atop the highest hill, it grants visitors the most breathtaking panoramic view of Saranda and its pristine azure coastline.

As we drive through the breathtaking Albanian Riviera, we will take a 30 minute stop in the most wonderful beach of all the coastline called Porto Palermo. You will have the opportunity to dive in the waters of the Ionian see and refresh yourself before continuing our journey back to Tirana.
